Bandar Chhaap | Creatives 01
How is everybody? It has been many moons of silence — But I are back 🙂
A lot has changed. Some good things, some not so good. But I am certain that in the coming years I will look at all of it with amusement, as one always does 🙂 To be fair, even I have changed. But I will leave my meanderings about life for some other day and post.
BANDAR CHHAAP
For now, we have been working on our products line at bandarchhaap.com to expand it beyond my own visuals. Adding more crafts products to it and also commissioning more artists. This had been on the cards for some years now, and this year we are finally doing it. At the moment we are also testing a bunch of lifestyle products, which if successful we will add to the website soon.
The issue though, is not the product line but the marketing and reach of the website, We have been looking for an intern to help out (Do recommend if you have any leads). So far with minimal digital or physical marketing we are getting a hundred views a month. We would like to change this to a hundred sales a month by June. Which is not a tall but it requires some strategy and push.
I also started working with branding exercises — Mostly sketchbooking ideas to onboard any new hires and agencies (Sharing below the progress). At the moment the goal is to work on a brand language so that we can put out the first set of collaterals.
The goal is to —
– Create posters that we will then put out in cafes by the end of the month.
– Create digital pamphlets for SMS promotion.
– Putting up stalls in weekend markets to promote the products.
Notes on Visual Language
All that said, the visual language I am going for is loose and funky. To appeal to a younger audience. More in the style of MTV from the 80s-90s. Using a combination of stylised characters wearing or carrying the merchandise mixed with surreal/quirky beings that inhabit the world.
