Then 1,200 People Said ‘Yes’

Friends of Monkeyverse! What a fun ride this last few weeks has been…

The Speculative Agency has successfully closed the kickstarter for our game, All Will Rise.

I am obviously ecstatic. And jumping around.

But, this being my first kickstarter, I was curious if in the context of the world at large this was a ‘huge thing’ or ‘a blip’; and the general consensus by Chante and everyone else is that; for a team that is generally ‘new’ and is working together for the first time (mostly), this is a relatively big success. Given the givens.

The game has raised a decent sum with the backing of a total of 1,200 supporters. Which sounds like big mob to me. Haha. When we started we barely had any presence. So most of the support has been built along the way. Goes to say how much you can pull of if your heart is in the right place.

This big win also comes on the back of some very well meaning decisions that the development team, under the guidance of Niels, Meghna, Joost, Hugo and Marocha, has taken. One of them being to return the money that was raised through Microsoft. Now, I had little to do with that decision, but I am so glad to part of a team that has a strong spine.
